How to get to St Gervais

Geneva Airport

St Gervais is around an hours drive from Geneva airport along the Autoroute Blanche.

There are also a range of private transfer services available as well as a bus transfer. You can also travel directly by train to Le Fayet and use the new gondola to get up to the village.

Did you know Geneva airport borders France and Switzerland? This means there is both a French and Swiss sector of the airport with check in facilities and car hire desks in both areas.

There are some pros and cons about using the french sector. The main disadvantage is your car rental is unlikely to car a "Vignette", which is a toll pass sticker allowing you to take the motorway out of Geneva and by-passing the City.

Lyon Airport

You can reach St Gervais in around 2 hours from Lyon airport using the French motorway network.

Grenoble Airport

It's a similar journey from Lyon airport and takes around 2 hours.

Eurotunnel

The total driving time (excl breaks), is around 8 hours from Calais. The French motorway network is fantastic, though it can be busy at weeknds during school holidays.

If you're driving we recommend getting a toll tag, available from Emovis
